Thats my nomination.
I would like to give my personal opinion, that were it not for the help and advice that i have been given by the Nukecops team and its members, I would not have a web-site.
Thanx go to Paul, and all the admins and staff who have been spending many hours of their own free time to help newbs like me and many of my own site members.
And since this is an appraisal for the Nukecops "Team" then i must thank every member, who like me, simply likes to try and help each other along.
Nukecops is now to enter a new phase, and it will be interesting to see the direction things will continue in with the new owners guidance.
So heres to wish the new owners continued success, and lets keep Nukecops a Team.
Shane. |

I agree 100%
Without Nukecops A LOT of us would have just a plain old crappy html website. |

Oh my God, you nailed me right there. It was actually THIS SITE that helped me learn PHP and decent MySQL. If it weren't for these guys, I'd probably still be manually posting news into my index.html. |

Since the other topic is locked about FB and thisone is about the NC team, i'm still a bit annoyed.
"Lifetime Achievement Awards" should be given to people who have contributed important PHP code to the OpenSource community.
So giving guidelines to such awards should be setup properly before giving them away.
For example the award will be given to people who:
- Contribute important PHP code to the community for free use
- Contribute security/bug fixes which are well written
- Contribute Speed increasing code to reduce server load
- Contribute PHP code which increases the "ease of use" for the everage PHP user
- Contribute information about how to use certain code/functions with a "easy understand to everyone"
A award should not be given to people who are "only" admin to be cool, but also help and inform people properly with the correct information.
Also a "cool member" award should be given to people that ask give well informed questions so others can see/read how a question is asked properly.
And a "donkey award" award for people who are just annoying and not talking about a topic properly by saying/posting something completly different then what the topic is all about |

and a spammer award for all the topic hijackers and spammers that come here to help out so much....
I am part of this staff and have been since NC opened. I DO NOT deserve a lifetime achievement award. I do appreciate the many thanks I get and at the end of the day, that is more gratification than anything in my eyes.
So, just continue to simply thank the staff if you are helped and I am sure they will contiunue to help as they have.
Like my saying

the best way you can thank the nukecops team and the site is to give back to the community. Obviously not everybody is a coder, or can design themes, or blocks, or even write content. But we do have forums that have a LOT of help requests. If you check out the help requests occasionally and answer any questions you know you can, that would help out immensely. |
