way to find out what is taking so long to load?

grrrr, i curse EDL. I had my page generation down to 1.2 seconds last night, and today i decided to install nukestyles' EDL v2.0 the install went fine, and when it was done, my page generations are above 12 seconds now!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

so i deleted all the EDL files, put back all the distro download files, restored the db, and it still is taking forever, sometimes 20 seconds!

i removed all blocks, took the mainfile.php back to the distro, and it still is taking forever?!?!?!

is there any way i can find out what is taking so long to generate??

Make a global for example $currenttime = time()

Then in header.php add at the bottom

Code:

echo "Header time".($currenttime-time());
$currenttime = time();

Then in footer.php add

Code:

echo "Module time".($currenttime-time());

usally says what is taking a long time to load.. like graphics or whatnot

but the best way I have found so far is to look at mysql queries, and see if everything is properly indexed. If you have root access, then use "mytop".
