For the past week I have been unable to even call up nuke cops using internet explorer. I surfed just about every other php-nuke site on the web, trying to see what happened to Nuke Cops.
I posted on NukeResources trying to find the problem:
Today (obviously) I found the problem. I don't know why, but this issue only seems to effect NukeCops, and no other PHP-Nuke powered site I visit.
Using Internet Explorer 6, under the Tools menu, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, I noticed both boxes under Proxy Server were checked. I unchecked them, closed IE and then reopened the browser and tried again to open the NukeCops web page. And it worked! Strange, I know, but it worked. (Don't laugh, it only took about a week for me to figure this out)
Now, for some reason the web pages load, and both boxes are again checked in the Proxy Server option, and everything works fine. (I didn't recheck the boxes either) Does anyone have any idea why this was going on?
I do know I cannot log into my localhost without the "bypass proxy server for local address" checked, but I have never had a problem with being able to log into any website before.
It just seemed odd it only effected the nukecops.com, nukecops.net, googletap.com and computercops.biz sites. I couldn't load any of those pages.

I had a very same problem. I could get into NukeCops from the PC at work but not at home. I had sent messages a couple of the staff and they didn't know. I did the same as you and wa-la the problem went away.
go figure. everything working fine since and I hadn't given it any more thought until I saw your post.
I glad you brought this up.

I really don't know. It is my thinking this specific change only effects the LAN settings on my own computer. I do know the sites related to this one are the only ones effected.
