We just 6.5 installed no problem and did a check with analyze.php afterwards.

It tells us that we have an outdated version of phpbb2. It says we have 2.02 and that 2.04 is available.

But it appears that 6.5 came with the 'integrated' version of 2.1

I'm leary to do anything to 'upgrade' phpbb2 for fear of breaking integration with nuke6.5.

Anyone seen this or have any suggestions?

I used analyzer version 1.89.8

Thanks

nuke 6.5 ships with phpBB 2.0.4

The way to fix that error message is to open phpMyAdmin and go into the nuke_bbconfig table, and in the last record called "Version" change the value to .0.4

Yeah, I had the same problem.
I download my phpNuke 6.5 today the latest version from phpNuke.org.
The file was posted on April 2.

Do I still require Sec-Fix Patch 3 for PHP-Nuke 6.5?

Third compillation of fixes to known PHP-Nuke 6.5 bugs, Just upload to the main Nuke folder so that the included files replace the existing ones.

Fixes:

1-Private Messages within the Journal module broken link due to lines that were meant to be commented breaking the code.
2-Link to Offsite avatars not displaying.
3-Error when clicking the e-mail button in member list.
4-Clicking page number causes invalid session message on Forums.
5-Forum asks to delete install/ and contrib/ directories.
6-Saving Forum profile info changes theme.
7-Couldn't delete auth access info.
8-phpBB logo broken link in the phpBB admin section.
9-Preview Forum: call to undefined function: opentable.
10-Broken rank images in Forum admin section.

thanx,
Izzy.

Thnx Raven,

Btw, I am doing that spankin fresh new installation with phpNuke 6.5.
I dumped the phpBBNuke 2.0.6 and phpNuke 6.0.
The phpNuke was pre-installed provided by my webhosting company.
But I couldnt tell for sure what version of phpNuke, was installed.
I even checked the config.php and emailed the webhosting company without any response.
Can u beleive something so simple, such as the version number??

Oh well, its a new horizon for me.

Cheers,
Shak.

to find the nuke version, all you have to do is look in the statistics module - the nuke version number is right @ the bottom.

You're very welcome! With the problems and frustrations that you were experiencing, regardless of why, I think the fresh approach is well worth it. Several otheres that have come here, including me, opted for that. The problems, although solvable I'm sure, just weren't worth the headache.

You'll find an article about it in the front page

Embarassed well, perhaps I should first have checked the front page
instead of "crawling" through the downloads and forums and losing myself Wink

Thanks a lot!
Have a great day
Cheers
