OK, I need some assistance. I know I'm probably overlooking something but I've been diging through files and forums trying to find similar problem and so far I can't. I installed GT and everything is working just as it should (done on my test server, so it's inaccessible). My problem is I'm trying to modify Footer Line1 in Admin Panel preferences to change site documentation links to new google tapped version. I know that *.html links work since I can access them if putting right url directly in address line. But when I edit the footer line to appropriate and click on save preferences - it fails to save. No errors , no nothing, just all the changes are ignored ...
SQL user in config.php have more than enough rights to add this line to DB, just for testing I changed permissions on mainfile.php, footer.php and header.php to chmod 664 with group been "apache".
Someone push me in the right direction! Sad

This post is old now so maybe you fixed it yourself, but i had the same problem, i just adding the code to admin modules manually and this fixed it, you need to make the changes to your database also, maybe you forgot that part.

Sorry, I should have reposted. The way I fixed this problem:
1. Removed all lines from footer notes
2. Saved configuration
3. Added lines one at the time back with making sure only proper HTML formating goes in. Saved config after adding each ffoter line.
4. Thats it.
