The links for "more on this topic" and "more by this author" are not performing the search as they are supposed to. Anyone know how to fix this?

I checked it on this site too, and it doesn't work either. Just returns a search box, with no results.

Thanks,
Jenifer Question

Ok, I figured it out...
I can't give accurate line numbers because I have hacked the file, but it is in the part that creates the related links box.

in this line...
Code:
<a href=\"modules.php?name=Search&topic=$topic\">

and this line...
Code:
<a href=\"modules.php?name=Search&author=$aid\">

Change them so there is a "&query=%" at the end of the anchor (to search with a wildcard).

like this...
Code:
<a href=\"modules.php?name=Search&topic=$topic&query=%\">

and this...
Code:
<a href=\"modules.php?name=Search&author=$aid&query=%\">

I also changed the author search to look for the informant using the $informant variable instead of the $aid because I wanted it to search on who actually wrote it... not who posted it.

Yay!
Hope someone finds this helpful!

Jennifer
