Wrong language for DATE in header

I have installed my PHP-Nuke 6.0 with no problems. I do, however, have a problem with the language being used for the DATE in the header of the page. I am using the Karate theme. The language seems to be Spanish. I have gone so far as to edit the lang-spanish.php file to change all months to english, but that does not help.

I can change themes, and on some the header date will be in english, and others will still remain in spanish. I have searched all the forums and can find nothing on this. Does anyone have any ideas? You can take a look at my date problem at http://melcherfamily.org .

Thankyou, chatserv. I swear I searched and searched for this topic, but the search came up empty.

I made all the changes that were listed and all works fine now. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
