I was running my site for a couple of days and all (most) was fine but just yesterday, the security codes needed for login disappeared.
My site is at
http://photography.mavenonline.com/analyze.php
One other question, where do I find / edit php.ini? I'm hosted on a shared server.
Thanks in advance.

GD says you can create the required image, and the proof is in the pudding:
http://photography.mavenonline.com/analyze.php?zx=logo
Other than that I don't know why its not working for you anymore other than the code has been messed up?
Hmm.. on the location of php.ini, you know I think that'll be in the next Analyzer release. |

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand your reply. How do I create my own logo in GD. What is GD anyway? The mystery was why it worked initially and it doesn't. |

GD is the library that PHP uses to create the image. That's what PHP-Nuke uses. If you click the link above that has the zx=logo in it, that is a GD created image, same like the PHP-Nuke generated logo.
Which means that your server supports PHP generated images. But your PHP-Nuke as you say doesn't... so that leads me to wonder if something in your files has gotten corrupt, or your image file is missing that looks like a grid. |

Actually, my server does support php images. I have no problems with this on another test site set up. I've checked the background grid file is still present in the relevant directory but it is not showing up. This problem just appeared and I'm still clueless. I can't login as admin cos the security code is not viewable. Is there a way to disable the security code login? I would hope to solve this problem naturally.
thanks! |

That is what I've been saying. For example if you check this link:
http://photography.mavenonline.com/analyze.php?zx=logo
Its a php generated image. I've been saying all along your server supports it.
In that your admin.php file isn't working seems to me it is corrupt. Try replacing it with a new copy of the admin.php file. |

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was just reading some of my posts and I've noticed lots of grammatical errors and missing words. I guess my brain thinks faster than I type and I've not done enough editing of my posts.
I've tried uploading a new admin.php file but alas it doesn't work. Does anyone know how files are linked and perhaps a trace can be done to find the errant code?
A big thank you to Zhen-Xjell! You and the people in this forum have been most helpful!!! |

I made no changes whatsoever to anything since it was installed and working. This was an upgrade from beta8. All files uploaded.
BUG ALERT?????
Oh I know it's happening on my Admin loggin, but I can't confirm if it is prevolent on the Your Accoutn loggin as well. I've been too scared to logout and see...lol..don't wnat to not be able to log back in again...boy...wouldn't that suck..locked out of your own system..?

Just to confirm, I installed rc1 a couple of days ago. It worked very well but for no apparent reason, it stopped working. Here's what I've checked so far.
1. I installed a parallel site and ran analyzer on both. Checked through the reports and they were identical. So, no clues for me there.
2. Checked that the relevant jpg files and they're still there. So, still clueless here.
To mikem, it happened to you as well? Maybe the code is so secure that there is a time expiry built in. The type that works like in -home security systems where you set a time limit.
Thanks guys for looking into this. |

There is nothing in the code that would make it disappear. The only reason why that whole section might not be there is because GD isn't on. I have to look again...
You know, where is your site? Let me see... Can you create a test account for me? |

The other working site is photo.mavenonline.com This has no problems. |
