From his take on the story at: http://www.nukescripts.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=633

Quote:
For many weeks, I've been reading post after post after post of people speculating why I left NukeCops without so much as a goodbye, and although some of the posts have come close to what really happened, many haven't, and after the most recent post I've seen, I've decided it's about time I set the story straight.

There are a few events which led up to my leaving NukeCops, and these are as follows:

1. The release of Nuke 6.6 to club members only prompted members of the Elite Nukers (other than me) to start a thread in a private forum saying what our take on it was. Due to Zhen-Xjell going AWOL at the time for weeks and neglecting NukeCops despite finding hour after hour to spend on his other site Computer Cops, and Chatserv being on holiday that week, that left me and only me to make an administrative decision on their behalf. I then got blamed for the proceding arguements upon ZX and CS's return.

2. I was appalled when, upon Zhen-Xjell's return, he seemed to have picked up a few of FB's characteristics and was treating the staff at NukeCops as bad as he and FB treats the rest of the PHP-Nuke community. Remember how he posted that he'd made a decision "after reading all the available posts" but then didn't mention the decision for over a week? He did exactly the same thing with the staff before that.

3. When I floated the idea of a Nuke Fork as a news article and created a forum topic for comments on it so the news thread itself didn't get too busy, I made it very clear that it was just an idea, and in no way constituted that NukeCops were doing a Fork of PHP-Nuke. The Feedback - ALL the feedback - except for a couple of posts was very positive with member after member registering their support for the idea. A few even pre-bought domain names for us. Zhen-Xjell ignored all this support to make what I saw as a very bad decision when he dismissed the idea of a Fork without giving it much thought it seems.

4. Zhen-Xjell has taken it upon himself to take an idea I put forward to both him and Chatserv back when we first started NukeCops for the PHP-Nuke bundle, call it his own, and then deny that I'd put the idea forward to start with.

5. Francisco Burzi's attitude towards users of his prize CMS was not an attitude that anybody should be ok with. He continuously ignores the requests by users and refuses to acknowledge the contributions of work by developers other than himself unless it has been made perfectly clear to everybody outside of his own site that they were the contributors of the code, not FB.

There are a few other conditions that I won't mention because I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but these are the main reasons I left NukeCops and now refuse to support PHP-NUke (except for the Idiots Guide to Nuke if you count that as support). Also, it was the combination of ALL of the reasons above that I left. Had it only been one or two of these conditions, I wouldn't have decided the situation at NukeCops was totally unacceptable.

This is all truth. Zhen-Xjell might try to deny this, but if he does, it just goes as further proof of his attitude towards all of you nukers out there who've pledged your support for PHP-Nuke thus far.

As for NSN-Nuke, I'll leave news of this for another news article.

Why don't people give this a rest already? while others might be bored to tears for lack of something to do, many of us are busy as hell and don't have the time for games, enough already.

Basically, we here at Nuke Cops are busy working as an official development team for PHP-Nuke producing nextgen services to the PHP-Nuke community. While we like to see the facts and be fair with everyone, we also recognize that negativity breeds and spawns more. My reply is lighthearted. This second reply is more professional.

Basically, folks like us and Francisco are too busy trying to make a product for everyone to be happy about. Unfortunately, there are many folks who take their little paddle boats and try to ram into our oceanliners. A minor annoyance, but nothing more than that.

The proof has always been in the products we release, not to mention the sites.

For all those who complain about Nuke Cops or PHP-Nuke, I ask them... what have they done for free lately?

And even if not for free, PHP-Nuke does not warrant folks working for the rest of the world for free. So if someone works hard, they deserve every right to be re-imbursed somehow. Servers aren't free, time isn't recoverable, and bandwidth is eaten up.

I think its time that folks realize, and its the duty of every member here at Nuke Cops, to populate the atmosphere with positivity and constructive feedback/questions/answers.

No one wants to live in their trashcan.

And Nuke Cops is a master-suite in the grand ole PHP-Nuke mansion.

Lets enjoy the ride together as friends, ok?

This isn't targetted to the topic starter. Rather, its my own personal thoughts on this matter.

Folks are given many chances in life. But there comes a point in time when enough is enough. I'm glad certain members are no longer around, and that they themselves have chosen to leave.

Now, go forth and multiply. Seed the earth. Smile

I agree with what was said above. I think Nukecops, Chatserv and Zhen ( as well as everyone else ) does a great job.

Its not just the mods and admins that help everyone out but this place draws together the whole nuke community, bringing support for all problems at all levels.

You cant please everyone but most people, including me are extremely thankfull for the work that goes into PHP-Nuke from nukecops and FB.

Keep up the good work and dont let one moan slow progress!

And the simple fast hard truth is, without money coming back into these projects, they will end. Nothing in life is completely free.

I have to say that I think the Nuke community is tighter than ever. I have been using Nuke for a little over 7 months, and only till about 2 months ago did I really start to see a community developing, sure us newbies are still lost somewhere, but you can definitely see that voices are getting heard, help is easier to find, upgrades are practically painless, and new and innovative ideas are coming out producing some great new features and addons. My hats go off to all of you, and watching you all work so diligently, seriously makes you want to give back to the community. I hope to be on board no matter what road Nuke decides to take. Keep up the great work guys! You rock!
