So I know I havent' been on here lately, mostly because I've been happy with the way one of my sites has been working, and I've been using the Total Calendar mod (yes I paid for it) for quite a long time now, maybe over a year now.

And all of a sudden, only days after I renew my webhosting account, I get a email from them saying....
Quote:
Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

We have noticed that you are mass mailing using the script theklings//modules/TotalCalendar/info.php. So we have Suspended CGI for your account. Please correct or remove the script and get back to us so that we can remove the suspension for your account.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are available 24x7.

The file they are referring to is info.php which is located in the modules/TotalCalendar/ folder.

Has anyone else come across a similar problem? I use POWWEB. I'm still waiting for them to re-enable my site to see if the module is still functional after I removed that info.php file. They are really starting to tick me off so I'm thinking, also, about changing webhosts.

Are these for valid emails out to your users? Or do you think it has been used for malicious purposes?

Really nothing you can do if its normal procedure. You would have to disable the mailing part if your host does not want you to use it, or find a new host.
