I dont know what has happend, but i have not touched any of the files on the forum section of phpnuke, but now, when someone quotes someone else, slashes are added to the posts:

I have only added a shopping cart today, i tried removing it, but the slashes are still being added infront of the quotes!
I dont get whats up, can anyone help?

I do not run phpBB forums any more, but I will give you a little different take on the problem.
Chances are the problem is with code not doing stripslashes on web browser outputs.
