I have a clean install of PHPNuke 8.0 and a clean install of phpBB3 (not an upgrade). The forum link for the phpBB3 forum shows up on the left modules list, but when I click on it I get the below errors. I have verified that common.php DOES exist in the folder thestorksnest/modules/phpBB3 and that the file functions_display.php exists in the folder thestorksnest/modules/phpBB3/includes. The rest of PHPNuke (the base site and all non-forum related modules) works fine. Any ideas?
Oh, and if I access my phpBB3 forum directly (type in the URL/modules/phpBB3) instead of going thru Nuke, it works fine...

phpBB3 is its own standalone script. It is NOT designed to run as a phpNuke module.
phpBB2 was ported to work as a part of phpNuke. This port (called BBToNuke) is not supported by the phpBB Team: they won't even let you ask for support for it on their site.
Given the significant amount of changes to phpBB3 so far, no one I know of is working on a port for phpNuke. Whenever they release a final version, then we will begin to work on it. |

Ahhh, OK, that makes sense (even if its not quite what I was hoping to hear ). In that case, I have another question...I'm a PHPNuke newbie; is there a way for me to add a link to the left block (where the module links show up) that would just link to my phpBB3 forum outside of Nuke? |

I'll check it out (I figured there had to be instructions somewhere).
Thanks for your help! |

So phpBB3 was released today as a stable release. Wonder how long it will take for the nuke guru's to get back into things and make things happening again? |
