Heya;

Firstly want to say that this site has been one of my valuable references in my battles to get a template to work with version 8.0 (older template and shoddy coding, enough said!) and am thankful for this forum - keep up the good stuff!

Anyhow... I've come across a different situation involving trying to set up the forums via the 'admin.php?op=forums' handler within the control panel. When I click on it, I get directed to 'modules/Forums/admin/index.php' (which seems normal...) but get the following message:

Quote:
There seems that PHP-Nuke isn't installed yet.
(The values in config.php file are the default ones)

You can proceed with the web installation now.

AKA: The page you'd normally see if PHP-NUKE wasn't set up properly within config.php at first run. If I click on the 'web installation' link, it directs me to 'modules/Forums/admin/install/index.php' which is non-existant and causes a 404 page error.

I've tried to upgrade the BBtoNUKE versions and have even installed a fresh new install (no modifications made to preferences whatsoever - literally a fresh install) in a different folder with a seperate DB and have come across the same issue.

I'm hoping someone has come across this and can provide me with a workaround as i'm completely at a loss here.

Cheers!

- J Very Happy

The values in the config.php - I am assuming they been changed to match the site's preferred settings?
