Let me start by saying I have a very limited understanding of php and scripting.
My brother installed php nuke for me a couple years ago and have used it since with now nearly 400 members registered on my site. I cannot figure the version of the current operating install.
Anyway, I have been having alot of problems with the old version-members cannot log in or some cannot access thier imbedded gallery, forum uploads scrabble weird, bots have taken over the shoutbox etc..
In an attempt to resolve the issues I decided to go to a whole new upgraded version.
I used fantastico to install and then upgraded to v.7.9
I got the gallery imbedded and got the existing albums imported over.
I added blocks and modules etc..all was working fine.
After hours of difficulty I finally got my servers support person to assist me in copying the database over to the new install.
Now all I get is a blank screen. I cannot access anything including the admin.php
Can someone please help? I cannot find anything that helps in any of the previous posts. Thank you.

I think its fair to say that your support tech probably just copied the old one over the new one, sadly it doesnt work like that.
Do you still have the old site? If so open the database and browse to the nuke_config table. The last entry in that table is your phpnuke version, this is the first step.
Now fantastico installations are notoriously flawed (corrupted files, database etc) and on top of that 7.9 is a version you should avoid like the plague! 7.6 (with security fixes) is highly regarded as the most secure and stable version of nuke.
At this point you have two options.
Advanced nuke user:
Download and install phpnuke 7.6 (avoid 7.9 like the plague). Once you have that completed download and install the security patches from nukeresources.com.
Now the tricky part, slowly move the database across from your old site to the new one ensuring to keep in line with ALL relevant database structure changes made between your version and 7.6, this includes the nukebb version changes.
Intermediate user option:
Download 7.6 and perform all the upgrades from the version you are on up to 7.6.
This sounds easy but you can often encounter problems when doing it, particulary when you are upgrading your nuke from a 4 year old version.
The truth is that neither option is easy but we're here to help, or theres always the 'for hire' section if your willing to pay for it!
