Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
PHP version 4.4.4
MySQL version 4.1.19-standard

I have a php nuke site with imbedded gallery that my brother installed some time back. It is an older version and I have about 350 members but I also have numerous problems with it.

I want to just start somewhat new and with an upgraded version. I used fantastico to install the 7.9 version into a different directory on the same server. I used the IFrame module to imbed the existing gallery in the new version.

I have tried and tried to import the data from the old database to the new but the only thing I have managed to get transferred is the user table. Although it doesn't assign ownership in the galleries either.

Is there a way to assign the new version to use the old existing database thus not having to move it all? I have tried altering and replacing the new config.php file with the old but the new site turns blank.

What is the easiest way to do this or can it even be done? Somewhat please help.
Thanks

You would need to run the phpNuke upgrade scripts to convert your database to be compatible with the new version
