Im using nuke 7.8, phpbb 2.0.20 was upgraded from 2.0.15 and using nuke sentinal.

Now when I try to reply to forum posts or try to pm members I get the following error:

Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

Line : 238
File : emailer.php

Now I believe it is when users have have set notify when I get a reply.

Now i do a quick search for emailer.php and find it in *nukeroot*/includes/

on line 238 is the following code, the die() line

Code:
// Did it work?
if (!$result)
{
      message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'Failed sending email :: ' . (($this->use_smtp) ? 'SMTP' : 'PHP') . ' :: ' . $result, '', __LINE__, __FILE__);
}

Now Ive checked its latest file and it is. I noticed this file was replaced in version 2.0.18. Now I can comment out line 238 which stops the error showing and scaring users but it doesnt solve the matter of sending an email.

I see in the code that it is trying to use smtp but I dont have this set up. The forums should be just using the mail() function.

Anyone know how to fix this I would be very greatful.
