7.8 Posting news/articles the links dont work

Whenever I submt a news story, the URL gets removed for some reason and thus just links back to the front page.

Anyone have any idea why? Crying or Very sad

Is the A tag allowed in your config.php ?

I was having the same problem, it wouldn't allow me to make tables or images in my news... in config php many are =1, but a and div are =2.

1=allowed?
2=not allowed?

Would this really affect even admin posts?

Yeah i was having the same issue post a story and any links in it would get removed....

So i tried changing the a=>2 to 1

But now when i point at links my mouse cursor won't point at the link it turns the cursor into the ][ cursor and u can't click them.

My solution was to downgrade back from 7.9 to 7.8

Amazingly it fixed it. Maybe collateral damage, but I think the only variable was the version.

So much for that $10. Not even sure if I'll want to test 8.0 when it comes out. I just want to get ONE version that works perfectly, WITH my google tap. A lot to ask for, apparently. Very Happy
