Cannot Post a link / image on a BLOCK

huge issue, i been at it for hours, i can't seem to post any hyperlinks or even add an image to a custom block.

I tried using html, even bbcode, doesn't work...

I just wanna add some topsite buttons in the blocks.

Can anyone help?

I've solved the image issue not the HTML coding, i can't seem to link an image or text for that matter, my html code looks like:

please check my first post that is the code im trying to put into a block but doesn't work, the text and/or buttons cannot by hyperlinked, please help.... wat can i add to the config files to make that code work.

I'm having the same issue too but with hyperlinks in the news articles.

I'm doing the same thing you are with no luck. Lemme figure it out. Your images should show up in your block with the img=>2 in your config file. Are you tagging the block right with it?

I'm on 7.8 with the 3.2 patch. I'm as baffled as you are and it's going to bug me to no end to get it to work.

Found this in another thread.

Go into your mainfile.php (make a back up first just in case)

find this line

$str = eregi_replace("<a[^>]*href[[:space:]]*=[[:space:]]*\"?[[:space:]]*([^\" >]*)[[:space:]]*\"?[^>]*>",'<a href="\\1">', $str);

And delete it. I did that and it worked for me.
