am just wondering, how do i make the borders on the left side, is there a special code for it or something.
Oh and one more thing, How do i design my whole template in one document and slice it that way? - would save me alot of time

Normally your theme.php defines your body table. You can make a border there. Now if you want just one side you might need to use a small image in a column.
I personally use Adobe ImageReady CS2 to slice my images after i make my template. It's very easy. It will also make html's for your image slices
