Just a tip:

In my case, I needed to add a line to my htaccess file.

Just before:

RewriteRule /index.html /index.php

I had to add:

RewriteEngine On

I still haven't gotten my forums to work 100%. But am trying to figure out why. The functionality is fine, by I get links like this:

http://www.scienceblog.com/65b7/forum1.html&sid=7f02ff26e91cd0d38994d704b51b2026

In other words, it's still adding the sid crap. Will poke around here to see if there's any news on this.

Oh only the sid problem? That has to show for regular users who don't accept cookies on their machine. The only place you don't want it to show is for google.

As for the modrewrite engine on command, that was in my google tap release.

Then why don't the URLs on NukeCops' forum entries have the sid blather at the end?

They're so nice and clean.
