Greetings,

We have been using PHP-Nuke for about a year now. Purchased and downloaded the latest 7.9 version of php-nuke and have set it up in a test environment to begin with.

Everything installed fine with the exception that 50% of the displays have php-nuke language variable names showing on the screen and not the actuall content of those variables. I understand that it is an issue of the language files not being accessible however I have installed the software in the structure defined by the download... and can find no reference anywhere for path's or permissions that may make the difference.

I should state that I am running this on a Win2k machine.

I appreciate any help that can be provided.

Do you have an example?

[ _MVIEWALL - _UNLIMITED - _EDIT ]

The above is an example of what is displaying on the main screen. The words preceded by underscores above are actually the variable and not the content of the variables from the associated language files. Further investigation actually is revealing that none of the language files are actually being read from.

This is confusing as it would seem that the initial installation would default to 'some' language file... i.e. english... etc.

I believe its another bug with phpNuke that should be fixed in the latest Patched files. You can download them from http://www.nukeresources.com

Thanks a bunch. The updated patch took care of it. Why do you suppose they haven't incorprated the patch in the most recent download file?

FB rarely updates his packages. Only when he feels there is a new version, which is often untested and fully of buggy new features.
