using a different forum

i know when i installed phpnuke it came with a phpbb forum, but i have a
vbulletin forum i'd like to use instead, is there any way of placing it on the site similar to that of the phpbb? or would i just have to link it ?

oh and another ( off topic ) question, im about to upgrade my 7.7 to the
patched version, will it overwrite any files? so will i have to replace images, or anything?
or will it just simply be installed without disturbing anything

1) vBulletin integration has been looked into, but I haven't seen an active project for it. Mostly because of legal issues, you wouldn't be able to distribute such a thing

2) 7.7 Patched replaces some of the core files (including config.php, remember to re-edit it), as well as modules, blocks, themes. It does not replace images though
