I am currently creating an Active Desktop page for my laptop and I wanted to know two things....
First, how do I create a link that will bring up My Computer in Windows Explorer?
And second, do you think it's possible to make the desktop a php page if I am running a local php server? because I'd love to use includes to create little sections of the page that give me stats off my phpnuke site.

The first one you use Shell (like in JavaScript, just do a search).

As for the second part, make a file called desktop.html (or whatever) and put the following into it:
Code:
<html>
<frameset rows="1">
<frame name="frame_name" src="http://path/to/php/file" scrolling="auto">
<noframes><body>Don't have frames turned on stupid!
</body></noframes>
</frameset>
</head>
Change the frame name and the path and you should be set.

excellent! I had forgotten all about this! thank you for the answer! I am going to have to add a bit of javascript to that to have it auto-refresh every five minutes if the script detects an active internet connection.... does anybody know how to do that off the top of their heads?
