On the mainpage the center content is a news-block which displays the 10 most current articles. Which is nice, however, I want to display only 5. I can't seem to find where to change this number.
Help would be greatly appriciated!

I definatly don't have a block-recent_news.php. Could you double check the block name? I am running 7.5 (+ Patched 2.9) and as long as I can get the name of the block I can find the variable.  |

I think you are talking about the news module. Change the number of posts to show in your admin preferences |

I set:
Number of Items in Top Page: 5 (Affects Top 10 listing - set back to 10)
Stories Number in Home: 5 (Affectes only members personal home page, not general one, set back to 10).
And it still shows 10 in the main page. Are you positive about that setting? And if so, what do I need to check to troubleshoot this? I am making these changes as a GOD user.

Your question was totally making me misunderstood, man...
That's a news module not BLOCK!!!.
OK. I've forgot where is the news module tweak which shows a certain number of nuews in your front page and shows page number to hide and allow user to go to old news.... Hm...
Gee.... I've forgot it. Nukecops forum has it.....
I remember Evader99 put a link to get the module. |
