I have phpnuke 7.5 and gt-nextgen .4, but gt-nextgen isn't working.
I've installed it according to the installation instructions, but there is nothing about the mainfile.php. What changes am I supposed to make to mainfile.php? Please help me...I'm desperate!

There are no changes necessary to mainfile.php in GT-NExtGEn 0.4. Only header.php, footer.php and modules.php need to be modified.
