I've tried time and time again. I'm extremely familar with PHPBB's forums and yet when I go into GOD account, click on the Forums module, and get into the administration panel of the forums, there is NO WHERE that I see a styles install and import for changing the forum's styles. This ticks me off to no end, cause for one domain which I've SEPERATED the forums database from the CMS database... which pisses my users off that they have to register twice, that my beta site development which uses a wonderful theme, can't use the same theme setup for the FORUMS module. As they say down under, "WTF Mates?!" (and not wtf in initials, but w - t - f as in letters).
Someone PLEASE HELP ME - I've fixed so many other bugs by searching and searching and searching these forums, but I'm not searching with the right combination of words this time apparently.

This is a copy of earlier post found here.. cannot find exact url, but may help your problem
ok im not a php expert but i found a fix for a bug that existed thru to nuke 6.8.theres would be a problem when you hit any styles option in the forums admin an error would pop up stating a problem with an include .pagestart.im surprised nobody had this problem but then agn i use a free lycos webhost.I had an existing phpbbport upgrade 2.0.5 and i remember when i had that in place that styles admin worked perfectly so i looked closely at the error i had and it was in admin_styles.php.so i opened that file from nuke 6.8 and phpport 2.0.5 and looked at the top showing the file version is the same on them then compared lines.i looked closely at the line where it called for .pagestart as an include ,and found a diff among the lines.the admin_styles.php with 6.8 had.....
and copied it into the nuke 6.8 admin_styles.php exactly how it was in the phpport 2.0.5 admin_styles.php then saved it.copied the new file to my server.then the styles admin worked.it seemed that missing that line was a problem.
Tried and tested this on PHPNuke 6.8, worked fine
Backup files BEFORE altering
Use PHPNuke 7.6 with patches!!

Well, I'm using NC 6.5 and the phpbb port was 2.0.5 i think. What I've decided to do is not allow my users to have theme selections... and just copied the default subSilver into a backup directory, then moved the designed theme into the subSilver directory.
I'm also having another issue with images showing up in my user profile for the php-nuke as well. I install any other theme and the images for your info, your home, your private messages, journal, etc, are all not showing up. They map to some Your_Account directory which I've made sure has the images, and the files are chmod 777 even, and they still won't show up.
Is there a more up to date version of PHP-Nuke with the forums module built in, or some NukeCops release further past 6.5 (I was under the impression that the build I got was the latest build).
