Hi all,

I've just gone live with a site, last Saturday, I'd be grateful for a brief review or any feedback on it. Anything from content, design, loadtime usefulness etc.

Looks fine, however, it seems to be predicted on the notion of getting something for nothing. So, I would add a lot of free content to it, keeping ppl clicking. If they DO NOT see free stuff on every page, I think they will be off to another site in short order... Wink

Your probably right. I'm working on promoting the site right now but I'll be adding more info articles over the next few weeks that will add value. Wink

Plus I have an eBook that will go out to registered members or maybe as an incentive to register. This thing usually retails at $37 I'm giving it away free. Smile

Early days yet and I couldn't wait any longer to go live. Should of added more articles etc first maybe.

You've done an excellent job. I went through the same process when I Nuked my site - probably took 2 months getting it to the point where I was comfortable with the look 'n' feel of it. LoL! That was in March, and I'm still not done, nor will I probably ever be. That's just the nature of running a PHP-Nuke site... Wink

Thanks for the complement.

Thats the nature of a good site anyway it shouldn't ever be finished.

So I guess we're on the right track. Wink

I've still got a few quirks to iron out and loads of work to do on content and traffic generation. But thats part of the fun.

Like your site BTW interesting Winamp mod, nodding away to one of the stations now Wink, nice looking clock too.

Interesting you mentioned that! I'm a 'trancer', if you know what that is. Trance music is just as addictive as PHP-Nuke IMHO. I CANNOT work on a web site without it - seriously!

I have an assortment of radio stations on my site, but my favorite is 'Philosomatika'. That's what I listen to mostly, especially when I'm modding on these Nuke sites, which can be quite trying at times. Wink

You might want to give it a whirl when you're digging through 1000's of lines of code:

Sure I know what a trancer is. I was big on Techno and Trance back in the 90's. Used to do all the Festivals over here. Did Glastonbury 9 years on the trot. Did the Berlin Love Parade back in 96. Seen to many DJ's and Bands to mention.

You can't beat a bit of techno or trance for getting the blood flowing. Wink

I have winamp on for one/two hour stretches listening to netmusique or occasionally mooching through shoutcast.com for a feed.

I'll give 'Philosomatika' a blast now, cheers.

ROFLMAO! This is great!

I listen to 'trance' at work and everyone is like, 'What are you listening to, space music?" or, "I'm not into that futuristic sh!t." et cetera. When I tell them 'trance' music was been around since the early 90's, it's not new, they ask, "What's 'trance' music?" or they'll quip, "That sounds like dripping water to me." blah, blah, blah...

It's nice running across a couple of ppl that I don't have to explain all this to... Wink

Philosomatika rules!!! That station is being 'transmitted' out of Orange, Cali, and it plays 100% Goa & Psychedelic Trance, 24/7/365. Their playlist mixsets are so long it takes like 2 weeks to go all the way through them (once), so you don't hear the same stuff over and over. LoL! Kinda ironic, no?

To those of you that don't know it, Goa, India is where this all started, and Psy Trance is basically Goa Trance (or classical trance if there is such a thing) with sound effects added - sound snippets of a baby crying, dog barking, pneumatic impact wrench, chainsaw, hubcap rolling down an alley - you name it. It's kinda fun trying to figure out how they made certain sounds...

Here's their web site:

Just to update this thread. I've added a FREE 200+ page eBook download to the site as an incentive to register. Registration is FREE and once registered members also get the facility to search the Clickbank database. Just in case you've never heard of Clickbank it's the single biggest resource online for digital products. Their site doesn't have a search facility but you can search it through my site. You can earn upto 75% commission promoting the products on Clickbank.

Also added a few more articles and resources and details on how Google can make you money.

Hopefully I'm starting to offer a little more value to site visitors. Smile
