I won't add one because the proof is in the pudding

Well to be honest you said in your original post:
Zhen-Xjell wrote:
I nominate Francisco Burzi (nukelite) for the very first Nuke Lifetime Achievement award

The key word in there is "nominate", I wanted a method to finalise the award itself and the only way I could see that happing was to add a poll and let the "community" vote. Seems fair doesnt it, everyone gets one vote, yes or no, simple. And by refusing the poll request, you like FB are ignoring the requests of the community as I am sure there would be a lot of people interested in voting in it.
Zhen-Xjell wrote:
Look at everyone running PHP-Nuke by Francisco.

Then give them the opportunity to vote, you gave your opinion nominating FB for the award now let the community decided weather your nomination is justified.
Zhen-Xjell wrote:
I'd say that gives him a lifetime achievement award.
Well unfortunately you are one man, not the community and I would have thought it would be fair that the community (your members) get to vote and decide.

I have to say Zhen-Xjell, when I first joined the Nuke community nearly 2 years ago I admired what NukeCops was, a genuine support site, built to better the nuke community, but now its just become a bitching site, I mean comments from you like
Zhen-Xjell wrote:
Even folks who are jealous of him

They just encourage more crap and take your site down a notch. In my opinion, take your For Sale Sign off, reshuffle your staff and give em a wake up slap and bring NukeCops back to what it was. In fact in my opinion (and remember that’s all it is, everyone has one) you should have built your own fork when you where thinking about it back then. You and your team from back then would have made a super portal.
Zhen-Xjell wrote:
Even folks who are jealous of him, still run Nuke derivatives.

Keyword there “derivatives”, then need to run derivatives cause PHP-Nuke isn’t up to scratch any more, and it isn’t. I mean your obviously close to FB surely you can have a word with him shake him up a little, make him smell the coffee.

What happened to his roadmap, where people were going to be working for him designing propitiatory Forums and so on, has that just fizzled away, like everything else he promises.

I wrote this on my site at the start of April when he released his so called “plan” – http://nsd.jagamarog.com

He had an opportunity to group up with the people that make a difference in the nuke community and make something great but instead he has gone it alone (again) and as for PHP-Nuke, it might have started with PHP-Nuke, bit it certainly wont be around at the end of it all, only its, as you put it “derivatives” will survive.

If your going to respond, please do but don’t make this a bitching contest, if you have something to say base it on fact.

anthonyaykut: Most likely, and I just find it pointless to ban me. I don't complain though. It shows me that they do really care about my opinion. Cool

Freedom of speech is not allowed at NukeCops, and anyone speaking their mind against some of this bullshit in the community, get banned or topic blocked. No one is allowed to inform the community of anything about NukeCops, PHNuke, etc, unless it an appraisal, or smells like butterflies and princesses. Wink

Dashe: Couldn't agree with you more. Where's our vote? Smile

Its amazing how much you folks complain, and yet you come to Nuke Cops and PHP-Nuke. Highly amazing. If you consider this all fluff, then why come here? Something obviously continues to grab your attention to post here and at PHP-Nuke.

And what's also amazing is that anyone running Fortress hasn't been hacked Mike. Your pitching Sentinal all the time and your site was defaced with links on zone-h.

If Nuke Cops and PHP-Nuke are all about fluff, why do they both continue to get traffic? Why do they both continue to get used more than the other sites?

Why do you guys complain all the time?

Amazingly, my nuke site hasn't been 'hacked' since I installed Sentinel Smile I figured I nailed all the billions of little patches for Nuke that amazingly, the COMMUNITY has made to secure my nuke site. No thanks to FB for THAT problem though. Big thanks to the COMMUNITY around FB's project that has created these patches to secure phpNuke. Where is the community's award ZX?

Oh wait, ZX trying to divert the discussion again by pitching Fortress his own way? Ok, I will play his game this time: Amazingly, I have installed Sentinel an hour AFTER I found my site defaced. Since then, I have not had one problem; Sentinel is doing the job PERFECTLY. It is being used at NSN, which is WHY I was familiar with it before hand, and it seems it is also doing its job there. I know the product, therefore, I will support it and appraise it, just like you continually do with NukeCops and your constant stat gloating of this site. Just because I support the product, doesn't mean I have to go out of my way to use it everywhere. And, if the product didn't work, I am sure I would have made a big deal about it if I had it installed before I was exploited. The only reason it was NOT installed before this happened, is because it was not feasible to add the security with all the custom modifications I made to my site. With a few changes to the system, it fit in JUST fine. Good game though dude.

For your shock and amazement, just to let you know, NukeCops is a public place, and its obvious that people come here. Some people ignore the fluff. Amazingly, if you didn't know, it's better to make our comments about your tirade and this community on this site, because YOU have control over what we post. I'm sure you wouldn't be too happy if I started nailing up every site I could find trying to degrade NukeCops. So, I give you the respect by posting MY views here. Be happy that I make my comments here, Im generating you traffic and more content for your forums! Plus, I am sure you feel secure that you can remove these posts and banning users with a click of a button. Do I care? Of course, I don't deny that. But you deleting / locking these topics proves a lot about you.

Just to schtick my 2 eurocents inbetween the highs and the lows ... our site has been (wrongfully) reported as being hacked at least once over at Zone-H.org - firing an email to the admins there usually helps clearing up the confusion, unless you are really hacked of course Mr. Green.

Oh ... BTW, maybe we guys complain because you guys give us reason to. Remember that there are always two sides to a coin - ever wonder why this "complaining" began in the first place - and why there are so many people jumping on the band-wagon? We are not bored or just whining for the sake of it. I, for one, will not insult your intellingence by spelling it out for you. Nuff said - over and out.

Anthony

HAHA!
I can't believe I am still reading a bunch of crap!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE NUKE, STOP USING IT!!!!
GO AWAY AND NEVER RETURN!!!

gripe gripe gripe and bash bash bash. That's all you poeple do about a FREE PRODUCT!
It's FREE folks or have you forgotten that?
If you ran your brains as much as your mouths, you all could have made your own damn "forks" of Nuke by now.
I don't see any of you making a CMS like Nuke, no, you all just gripe about a Free Product. Get real! Also, if this site, it's staff and or ZX piss you off so much then why do you keep coming here? To start trouble? If so, then go away and never return. Why bother wasting your breath around here. You all are not being productive or helpful in ANY WAY AT ALL!
ALL you ALL are doing is starting flame wars, nothing more, nothing less.
GET A LIFE!

Back on topic:
FB deserves an Award. Lifetime Achievement? I dunno about that. But yes he deserves, at the least, some sort of recognition.

P.S. Wait a minute, I just fiugured out why you all return to gripe and bash...it's called PENIS ENVY. Razz buhahahaha

Funny look at the news posts here at NC from the last 4 days or so. Did any of them mention the 2004-06-14 Advisory http://secunia.com/advisories/11852/ (Dated June 11th here http://www.waraxe.us/index.php?modname=sa&id=32 or offer any sort of opinion what so ever regarding this posting? No we'd rather toot our own horn and sing the praises of others then address any real issues that require more then a cut n paste off someone else’s site.

Is the condition of a DoS on Apache/PHP not worth mentioning? (It will under the right circumstances take a reboot to get things going again). What are the users more interested in? More hype or more help?

This is why I find articles and posts like this one so absurd. It’s flying in the face of potential disaster for the innocent users who look here for answers to these and other issues everyday. Pandering fantasies aren’t empowering your users but leading them down a path doomed to repeat itself again and again.

Yes false reports happen. Yes Zone-H is a lamer hang out for cut n paste script kiddie wanna B's and should get no respect from anyone here. But they read those advisories everyday hoping to find a tidbit that will help them to gain access to this and any other website out there.

Why continue to make it easy for them by ignoring these posts or discrediting the authors because they didn't take the time to get an update released by a third party before testing? If its not in the distribution whats your point?

Why blow Fb's horn when you should be asking him to help address all these issues?

I totally agree LightEmUp.

Instead of constantly letting us know how many hits NukeCops get every 5 minutes, focus on SECURITY.

NukeCops? Security? Seems like they'd go hand in hand, right?

We couldn't give two sh\its about you nominating someone for some award you spawned out of your as\s in a matter of minutes. We care about OUR nuke sites, not YOUR nuke site. We COME here for information, bug fixes, and help. A vast majority of us don't come here for your site stats reports, lame articles that are absolutely of no value to us, and bogus articles about your personal life, ZX. Please understand that.

I don't use phpnuke.org anymore i was banned from forum only "only because FB dint want to loose a member" because of my opinion on how FB never fixed problems with his software.

When something needs to be fixed and it not then it time to complain Shocked
Does that answer your question ZX

Security? What about all the links to Admin Secure, Fortress, Protector, Sentinal? What about Analyzer that checks for common security issues? What about Chatserv's secfix pack that I put up a couple days ago on the front page?

PHP-Nuke? It included one of my Union Tap codes (not the newest final).

Oh and yes, the front page and all forum posts have nothing but stats about Nuke Cops.

Go ahead, continue taking things to the extreme.

Rainbow Brite... the least you can do is add security to php-nuke and offer Francisco to secure it. You just complain instead.
