You too huh.. I cant add blocks content new users nothing. I have uninstalled protector deleted nuke and reinstalled it all and still nothing..It really does a number on locking down a site thats for sure. Guess All I can do is have my hosting company totally delete my whole site and start over from scratch...good way to waste a ton of money with hosting co and loose members of sites Smile

As you can tell I am not happy lol

No offence but you really should double check the instructions and what you are doing.

I've now installed Protector on 16 sites without the slightest hitch.

It rates in my top two addons for phpNuke with Add_Fields ( http://www.ulsoft.scarbridge.co.uk )

I don't see how Protector can affect any of those things.

To disable it (for example if you ban yourself accidentally) you only need to comment out or remove the line via FTP.

include("includes/blocker.php");

from header.php in your nuke directory.

I think the problem lies somewhere else.

I hope you get everything working.

Don't give up, Wolfdancer, I knew nothing at all about php, mysql etc (and still know little) but have learnt bits and pieces as I went along.

I just noticed on the top of the instructions 'for PHP-Nuke 6.5-7.0'. I don't know if this would make any difference.

Have you been to the Protector site and checked out the forums there?

nope I've removed protect and deleted my site and nuke and reinstalled it and still cant add block or content or any new pages etc of any kind. Some people are able to register and the forums are working and I can edit messages on the front page. Other than that I can't do anything Sad

Well if you can't do things even when protector is not installed then it is not a protector error. Not quite sure what kind of problem this might be. Maybe you should move to version 7.0 in the snaps. Maybe not what you want to hear, but easier to trouble shoot.
