Just when I thought I was learning Nuke 6.0 I decided to upgrade it to Nuke 6.5 and have a problem with the news headlines not working.
I did a fresh install rather than an upgrade and added all my custom mods and blocks, plus the fix pack, which all went well then activated ultramode but when I tried out the news headlines they all said sorry there is a problem.
I never tried them in Nuke 6.0 so I have no idea if they worked or not but I did read a couple of posts which said it could be Lycos, my site is on paid Lycos hosting and I wondered if anyone else who uses Lycos has cured this or if there is a patch or fix for it ??.

Not sure about lycos issues but... Did you chmod the ultramode.txt 666 so its writable? They may well limit the fopen if thats the case it won't work anyway.

I tried chmod 666 like you suggested but still have the same problem.
I have noticed that Lycos seem to stop a lot of things that would be very useful from working, no idea why oversecure maybe ??.

Thanks for the tip shall keep trying.

a note on Lycos: YGWYPF (You Get What You Pay For)

they're cheap, and provide a sub-standard service, but you can't complain because they are cheap.

Why shouldn't they be over secure???? With all the nuke sites being hacked at the moment, a lot of people are locking down their servers at the moment.
