Site has been down this evening. Still finding out the facts, but it appears to be the scsi hard drives over heating. More details to follow. |

It could be overheating since they run 10,000+ RPM and are accessed a lot.
Does your servercase allow "intake" fans beside the drives ?
example:
room -> caseholes -> fans -> HD's
placed straight after eachother
I noticed when i bought my Lian-Li alu case the tempature around my HD's dropped about 20 degrees celsius to 20 C instead of 40 C |

Yes they were overheating. Server was down just now for 15 minutes. They removed the old IDE and transferred the server back to the production racks. So we're back in business and no more scheduled downtimes are in the near future. |

Just through interest Zhen......Do you have your own server or is it hosted, and if so who by and where are they located.
What sort of bandwidth and Dir size have you got ???
I'm interested because I run 5 site now, The host I'm using seems very good and very competetive price wise. loads of goods included in the package.
