not all html tags work in the phpBB. This is a security feature implemented by the original creators of hte phpBB forums.

I believe your statement is incorrect. All tags CAN work with phpBB... they just have to be added to the allowed tags in your phpBB config.

did I say that they couldn't be enabled??? No. All I said was that they were disabled by default on the phpBB Forums for security reasons.

No... you didn't.... but you didn't use the word 'disabled' either. The way your response is phrased it makes it appear as if (and I'm quoting) 'not all tags work in the phpBB', which of course is not true.
Anyway, the whole point to my first post was to give an answer to the original poster... I assumed (which I shouldn't have) that after reading my post, you might have elaborated on your reply and let the poster know HOW to enable them in his or her configuration.
I also realize that the original post should probably not be in the 'bug reports' forum as it is not a bug... but the original poster does STILL not know this. I'm sure that he/she has accepted the fact that 'not all tags work in the phpBB' and still thinks it is a bug and not a security feature.
The original question was posted on Saturday at 12 PM. Your response was posted minutes later, which could have helped the user out immediately. However, it's two and a half days later and there is still no 'real' answer posted.
I am sorry for speaking my mind on this particular thread... it has nothing to do with you (you are doing an excellent job with the site and for the nuke community), but I find myself wasting ALOT of time reading Q&A where people don't think about what they're posting. Again, please don't take offense to this post... I am hoping that it will make others aware of what they are posting. This thread should have been finished (asked and answered) on Saturday. The way I look at it is this... read your response when you're done posting and ask yourself if you've helped the original poster or simply confused them.

Excuse me while I slap myself on the back of the wrist. I should really keep myself in check (I'm not as bad as i Used to be, trust me).
I think some ppl got the rough edge of a bad mood the other day.
I'll also make sure I'm a bit clearer in the future. Though I'll have to admit that I didnt' know it could be configured through the administration panel, I though it was a hard-coded based thing (shows how much attention I was paying the v. 2.1 port when I was working on it doesn't it?? )
