Hi all,

I recently installed My_eGallery, but it won't let me create new categories. It keeps giving me the message:

Quote:
The script was unable to write in the destination directory. Please check the write permissions.

The destination directory is "/modules/My_eGallery/gallery", correct? I've changed permissions to 777, and it still does this. Sad I'd appreciate any help you all can offer. I've been searching this forum, but couldn't find anything.

When you add new categories, new folders get created inside of the gallery folder, these sub-folders need to be chmod to 777, if for any reason they are not getting created you could try creating them yourself via ftp and then chmod them to 777.

Heh, here's my problem:

When My_eGallery creates the new directory (it DOES get created), it doesn't chown it to my username. Thus, there is no permission. Rather than having it owned by "squaredots", it shows it as owned by "48". Question

If I go and create the directory myself with the proper ownership (by "squaredots"), it then gives me the following message:

Quote:
This directory already exists

Basically, if the program can't create the directory and properly format it all at once, it won't work. I'd rather not have to hack the program by automatically hard-coding chown stuff.
