Ventrilo is a great voice comms proggy. I'm sure more and more people are using it everyday. It would be very helpful to have a Ventrilo Status Block........
If you have icq , add me to your list ( 162281500) and i will send you something that will work! You can see an example on my site http://www.1stmarinedivision.com/ on the right hand side! If thats something like what you are looking for then let me know!

Hey hue, you have a good looking site there.
I really like some of the blocks you have like the ventrilo, mp3 player and the Online servers. Any idea of they work with nuke ver 6.9?

Yes, all of them should work just fine! I'am using 6.8 for now, but I don't see anything that will cause any issues by upgrading.....Just waiting till all bugs are fixed 1st before i do .

One simple way for the Ventrilo block is this.....
1) Make a new block
2) in the content area of the block, add this
3)<center><a href="ventrilo:// 6x.xx.16x.19:3784/servername= yourservernamehere&serverpassword= "><img src="images/Ventriloblack.gif" border="0"></a><br><br>
Click to Connect!</font></td></center>
4)make sure to make the changes to the Ip(and port # if not set to default) to match your host IP and add your server name to match the host, also you will need the ventrilo image in your images dir..
If you need an image , you can take mine

I've been looking for this block for a while, but I have not been able to find it. So I hacked one up out of the "PHP Ventrilo Status Scripts" available at http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
If anyone knows about another one let me know, but if you want to download my quick hack job just click this link. I just started learning PHP about a week ago, so I know my code is sloppy, but it seems to work.
Any questions or comments, you may want to e-mail hunter_az@yahoo.com
but remember im a PHP Newbie so any helpfull hints are welcomed.

PLease note, that if you use that block, you must 1st have ventrilo hosted on a server somewhere.2nd, you must have root access ...If you do not have these two things, which most dont, then you will not be able to use the block. 3rd, based on the script, you would have to find out what you server is running then download the appropriate server package for ven..ie; linux, windows.
I have another one to release in about week or so, should have security as well as the channels, users in there , so on and so on

CVentriloStatus->Request() failed. PHP Unable to spawn shell
I would check the documentation that comes with the Ventrilo PHP Scripts "http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php" first. Remember this block is a hack of these scripts.
But i have noticed that the error you have usualy has something to do with the path to the ventrilo_status command. make sure that it can be ran by the web server. If you check out my page http://bik.mine.nu it seems to be running fine for me.
For hue
I would really like to see what you have so far. PHP is very interesting to see what other great program others develop. When you get it done, please post it here or e-mail me. Im sure you have something far better than this, but oh well. Always a better way to skin a cat eh?
