Hi,
When trying to change the footer1, footer2, footer3 of phpnuke 6.5 release, I have noticed that I CANNOT do so. If I do it is not saved and I get redirected to my index.php file. If I use the back button, I am again at
Code:
admin.php?op=Configure
.
Everything else will work fine: changing default themes, etc, etc.
There must be a bug in the sql or something. When in the nuke_config of phpmyadmin, I try to click the "edit" link and nothing happens. If I copy the url and paste it into my browser, it gives an error stating that there is an error near line 1 of my sql syntax.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Peter

Even while the footer lines appear on the preferences page you are not supposed to change them.

Hi,
I KNOW Idea that copyright is supposed to be there. Exclamation That's not the point! The point is that there is a BUG Evil or Very Mad . I wanted to ADD some information in footer3 about Spaming, a graphical counter, etc. I am NOT trying to circumvent the copyright as it sounds like you might be suggesting!! I am trying to "Beautify" the footers to fit my site!

Let's fix this bug. I COULD, if I wanted, change ANY of the imformation using phpmyadmin for mysql, so removing the copyright ISN"T the point. Exclamation Exclamation Evil or Very Mad Why, do people assume the worst in others?

Respectfully,

Peter

I have been looking back at my post and try as hard as i may i cannot find the word remove, i do on the other hand see the word change, now why would you go around assuming the worst on topic replies Wink

This may or may not be a bug, i`d have to check on it, but i wouldn`t be surprised if FB had modified this area of Nuke to make it unchangeable seeing as copyright issues have been discussed so widely lately.

I had this trouble with some urls in the default copyright messing up the field. I couldn't even alter from phpmyadmin. I wound up dropping the table making the changes in a nuke_config.sql (removed all the target=) from the urls now it works fine.

Edit* I just checked I also changed all the double quotes to single quotes.

Hi,
Thank you for the posts and the possible solution? I will try it out by dumping the table and making the changes as you suggested in a nuke_config.sql.

Respectfully,
Peter
