It seems to me that the average folks out there like me, may not completely grasp the power of cvs.nukecops.com and php-nukeNC....

I thought maybe this thread could help explain it to everyone, so add your thoughts!
----

- I just created a php-nuke site in under 10 minutes using the cvs. (Since it was a test, I am deleteing it now... and so far it has taken 16 minutes to delete!).

- Perhaps one of the most important features is UPDATES. THE biggest problem with php-nuke has been upgrading. You dont want to screw up your existing setup and as nuke updates -used- to be put out, one would always wonder "Will this screw up my site?". Now, you can update automatically, and you can even tell it certain things NOT to update.

Im sure there's much more that can be said by people more 'in the know'. At first glance, to me, the whole cvs thing seemed like you had to be a guru to understand it all and work with it. NOT TRUE. It DOES need a little explaining, but once you get the idea, it really is fantastic.

Yes I agree... the full power will really be seen once the whole nukecops.com portal is merged into the CVS.

Hi,

I was hoping for the same thing as you, but maybe this info exists somewhere else. I can't find it. That's why I am writing:

Is there a link/place to help on how to install using CVS, and/or how to update the site automatically?

Xeulas, how did you install in 10 minutes using cvs?

Thank you!
