I am tapped out reading on how to fix the problem with the Nuke modules block not being tapped.

Well some are, but my forums module link is not tapped.

I just can get it going with the tweaks in the GT forums.

Im not using the Audio Slaved version, it looked a little out of my intall skill. However I am sure its nice.

Is there a replacement Modules block I can install?
I cant download the Sommaire block that is supposed to work, because the download section is not working.

Can you take a look?

http://www.12string.net

I know the center block is also not tapped.

Im working on the fix for that also.

Hay! Im atleast 70% the way there!
Not bad for a non php user!

Thanks again.

I will continue reading in the forums.

Jay.

actually the forums have been Google tapped.

Go to ur forums and then check the links of ur forums, categories and individual posts. they are all in .html form, its just that the menu doesnt show /forums.html

I tried GT a few days back and it does wonders. I got a google page rank of 2 within a 35 days of launching my website Very Happy

Best of Luck

Its not hard, Its just that I suck at explaining all this. I am more than positive anyone here can install what I do, I just have to find a better way to talk about it, maybe I need a translator? Wink

There is no reason for any of you to think its too hard, maybe we looking at from the wrong angle. If I get questions pertaining what you are confused about, that only betters the situation as I further explain on the parts that need it and skip the hoopla. Smile

No were all really greatfull.

Im just thick at hand editing the files.

And I for one would pay the $10 for a Nuke Bundle with the TAP and the center forms already in there.

Your doing a great job.
Thanks for supporting us.

I wonder if your Tap will be in a version 7 or in your own bundle?

Stay Tuned.

My page is working well though!

Due to many webhosts lacking support for mod-rewrite, I don't really think it will be part of the official distribution. Then again, GT-NExtGEn does have that convenient toggle switch for on and off in the header.php, maybe Wink

I tell you what, Bill, it would be nice if we could toggle the GT on and off through the main nuke preferences panel, or through an admin module. Then I would be REALLY impressed with you Wink

I could do that easily, but is that extra mysql query worth it Wink I say this should be more of a community thing, why don't you make a poll about it? We can see where most of us stand on the issue. I am for it but don't really care to tell you the truth, sometimes I more prone to edit a file than login as admin. So it is a give and take. But I would be extremely interested in seeing the results, it would definitely help mold a community based decision. Smile

I vote for the ON OFF switch in the admin. And dont forget the button that says (Install Everything for you with the click of a button)... heh heh ok forget the last one, but the ON/OFF switch would add confidence that if one screwed things up on the install, it could be switched off EASILY and QUICKLY.

Bill-AudioS, you are doing a great job... I try to read all your posts here. One of my specialties has always been transforming tech-talk into laymen-talk. I would do it for you... but alas I also do not understand the whole GT process (grin). I too, hesitate to test GTNG on my production site (since I don't quite understand it), but intend on doing a betaNC install and testing it then.

As for: Host with no mod_rewrite?

Time for a new host. There are too many great hosts out there who give you everything you need for ten bucks a month... why keep a host that limits your possibilities?

Well why cant you do like Raven does.

Take a Nuke bundle. and First off...Install your GT and then put it on your page? Bundle in a working Center block and Modules thats all tapped and working with PHPBB?

Allowing folks to Reg. and download from your page?

Even a donation or paypal purchace?

Ide pay. Really I would.

Or donate if thats more attractive.

Its got to be the best thing going for Nuke so far.

Thanks.

Twelves, everything in your post has been done, every one of them but the donation thing. Go to gt.audioslaved.com, that site build is a BNC Bundle, every module is tapped, forums work correctly without messing up the extra mods installed, my header.php is like 3kb again, life is good. Smile GT is faster, modules and mod_rewrite are happy. Smile The GT-NExtGEn website is the working Beta code, what is in the distro is what you see on the site, you should check it out if haven't already.
http://gt.audioslaved.com

Anyone using the beta think it is worth a look for those who are reluctant to give it a whirl? Thx for the support.

Does anyone know the direction FB is taking with 7.0 or even the next beta release?? I know he is taking out the webmail module, and also finetuning the points system. I already have 7.0 beta 1 ( download here: http://arc.badgerdotcom.co.uk Smile )
and wonder if I am just as well to press on with 6.9, as I don't really want a points system. What other revelations could possibly merit a 7.0 release?? I'm thinking of compiling my own bundle, with a lot of mods done to the forums, but I'll see what happens - wife not killing me in the meantime!!

This is my need 100%

For those out there that dont have the skills to apply Hacks to Phpbb.

I dont know about what makes it a Nuke 7.0 version.

Ide think it would be

1. Same as 6.9
2. Bugs fixed like missing avatars.
3. Hacks to the Forums
4. An approved center Block for Forums
5. Security patches
6. Tapped For GT!

I for one, have trouble installing the PHPbb hacks.
Managed to get 4 going with no problems.

Then the End users (Noobs like me)
Can then register or even Pay Download or Donate with Paypal the Flavor they want.

Nuke cops.
GT Nuke! O thats a good one.
Raven Nuke
Who ever makes them.

Even a Flash Nuke 7.0 Bundle!

Im never going to be as good as the Nuke all stars.
But Ill always at least have a favorite version and likley support the author with my donations.

Enough of me already.

Good idea!

I better go bother my web visitors.

Peace.

twelves, that is exactly what the betaNC bundle from here at nukecops is, except it is still based on 6.8 rather than 6.9.
