okay, i've noticed that the new (downloadable) themes for 6.5 come packed with a /forums folder, which apparently has the forums theme included (this works just fine)
my issue is, how can i get the damn phpbb Admin theme changed, because there's no themes that i can add, and only subSilver is available in the selection... they've changed this from the old style, so i dunno how to do it...

Download one of the Theme packs from http://nukemods.com or other theme sites with matching themes. Use the 6.0 version, BUT
ONLY use the modules/Forums/template/(folder)
Upload it to your
modules/Forums/tempaltes directory and then go to Forums Admin, Styles, ADD. Add that newly uploaded phpBB template then you can change the default STYLE in the Forum Admin/Configuraiton to THAT template. It should ONLY affect the Admin area as long as your regular theme has a matching template in a forums directory.
laf, is that a feature that's gonna be fixed, to your knowledge?
and, thx for the tip, that's what i was thinking i should do, but i was afraid to actually "Add" the template in case it screwed Rainbow Brite up

It's not a broken feature.
Basically Nuke6.5 will look to the themes/Yourtheme/ folder for the forums directory wich should contain your matching phpBB template.
If it doesn't find it, then it will use the DEfault template in the modules/Forums/templates folder
No one sees the Forums Admin except the Admin anyway, so changing the Forum admin template is not a pressing issue.
