i upload the 3 files ... .htaccess footer.php and header.php
now i cannot access my web site
well my webhost admin say this is the error i am having

[Sun Nov 2 01:57:55 2003] [error] [client 68.17.151.121] Options FollowSymLinks or SymLinksIfOwnerMatch is off which implies that RewriteRule directive is forbidden: /home/virtual/site9/fst/var/www/html/php

any ideas Question

ok i get teh site up again . i was doing some reading and some dude say to pu in this

RewriteEngine on
Rewritebase /

where RewriteEngine on is...

it worked..
but now most of my links like your account , user infor, download etc gone dead:
page cannot be displayed
any idea

hello
i contact my webserver admin
and he say mod_rewrite has complie fine on the server
can some one please check iy out for me...

please this is the 4th time im am reloading my site because google tab mesed it up...

please help !!!!

You may need to specify the RuleBase. Depending on how your web host has your root web mapped. Try adding one of these to your .htaccess file:

RewriteBase /
RewriteBase /php
RewriteBase /home/virtual/site9/fst/var/www/html/php

Probably the first or second will work.

and i get soem good news and some bad news
the good news is that it works !!!!
yeah !!!!! You the Man !!!!
the bad news is that when the user tryies to log on
the security code picture is not showing
any more brilliant idea .....
