I've been running it for 3 weeks now I believe. The big thing for me is getting reviews indexed. Honestly, if my site won't be indexed b/c of PHPNUKE, then PHPNUKE is not a legitimate solution for website creation. That is as blunt as I can put it.
At one point I did get one review indexed, but then it wasn't listed the next day. 3 days ago, most of my news articles were indexed, but now it is down to a single section of articles. I cannot come up with a reason why and am very disappointed.
I run several websites, and depend heavily on Google to help drive traffic to my websites. Something I've found is that if you have tremendous amounts of information about different subjects, then you are likely to do well in search engines. This philosophy has helped me build a couple of very large websites on a couple of specific topics. However, my current website, which is completely phpnuke driven isn't being indexed well enough to provide any hits. The majority of the information on the website isn't indexed...just like any other phpnuke website.
In any event, I'm starting to lose hope...have other people seen the same type of thing...when google will index a page, and then pull it from its index? I know many say that the Google Tap works, but I haven't found that to be the case in my 3 weeks. There has been a fair amount of traffic to the site in recent days (PHPNUKE statistics reports 10,000+ page views since friday), which tends to cause Google to take another look at the website...but so far, that has only caused pages to be indexed and then unindexed...

Google Tap works, it lets Google index your site as I'm sure you have witnessed in the logs. Google Tap won't guarantee a spot for you though. It all depends on how your site ranks in Google's Page Rank system. From what I've read the theory implies it relies heavily on how many sites link to you, and how high they Page Rank. If you have a highly page ranked site linking to yours, then yours gets a higher page rank. The higher the page rank a site has, the more pages Google displays in its results. Conversely the lower the page rank a site has, the lesser results it will show.

Yeah I'm still working on it... its slowed down a lot though the past couple weeks because I've had to redirect my efforts on some other stuff. I should be getting back to it this week.

just a note about google and other search engines.
My site's been online for over a year now, and it's only in the past few months that it's been visited by search engines in droves, so it might be worth noting that if the domain's new, and I mean new as in less than a month or so old, then give the search engines time to discover that the domain's there.
Also, just because a search engine has indexed your site, it doesn't mean that the search engine will list ur site right away. There can often be a gap of as much as 2 weeks between the index and the site appearing on the search engine.
Even though I'm not running the Google Tap (doesn't work with IIS servers) I still get visited by about 200 search engine bots a day, and they still index some of my site. The longest gap I've experienced was 1 week, but it often takes a couple of days for my stuff to appear.
Just to summerise..... give the search engines time to add the indexing after they've indexed ur site.

My two cents, i've applied the GT to my irc site and even if Google doesn't pick up any of the new urls, other search engines do, with that said i'll add that even before the GT many of the sites hits came from search engines, Google included, but much like Zhen implied, many factors decide on how a site will do among search engines, in my case IRC is a very slow subject at the moment and getting linked by other similar sites is next to impossible as the general feel of the few sites that make it is that they are above everyone else and adding links to less popular sites would be an honor those mere mortals don't deserve, so i add things like GT just out of curiosity and because it does make the urls look way better, i can't expect much more and i don't. GT does do what its set out to but it can't change attitudes among people.

I revisit this as I don't believe my question was understood.
First off, I'm not concerned with my ranking on google. I'm only concerned with how well indexed I am on google. The ranking doesn't fall into the problem...in this case
The real issue it appears, is that my pages in "reviews" are not indexed. That is where the bulk of my material is. Currently, it appears that 100+ pages of my website have been indexed. However, only 1 review page, review 22, has been indexed. I assumed with time that more would be indexed, but there seems to be some sort of problem.
Last week I added some pages to the "content" section, and sure enough, within the week, they were indexed by google....but my review pages, that have been up for 3 months, more than a month with the google tap, have been ignored. Can someone tell me why this might be?
My guess is that we are missing something with the google tap. Both the review pages and the content pages have links directly to the PAGES in their respective sections from the index page of the website.
Thoughts?

The reviews sections have really nothing to do with Google Tap. Google has indexed the reviews from Computer Cops for months now without Google Tap in place. And unfortunately, Page Rank does play a role in the indexing of your site. Please also understand that if your pages are going to be show in google results, it take anywhere from 4-6 weeks.

This is not traffic. Googlebots are indexing your site. It will take Google more than two months to index ALL your pages.

yep-
it takes time but it DOES work. my memberships have increased and my indexed pages are starting to show in google. plus googlebot stops by daily to grab new stuff...
so i think its important to try and add something to your site on a daily basis....
will there be a new release of GT soon?
