Forums/Private Messages Non Functional *Update-new problem*

Ok, I was wrong....since changing old accounts to 1 in user_active both forums and private messaging IS working. My account is acting a bit funky in that I recieved the test message I sent myself but it shows I have two unread messages.

Might want to do a mySql repair on your tables just to see if anything funky gets cleaned up.

I have never done this. would you mind explaining how I go about doing it?

it sounds similar to the problem i was having on the 6.0 site, only you have the $nukeuser variable defined. Does your site have private messages enable? When you go to the forum, does it show you logged in up top, or does it just say login?

Private Messages are enabled.

Before putting in the change in user_active anyone who entered the forum it would say login.

Now that I made the change in the table when a registered user is logged in and enters the forums it recognizes them as logged in.

As far as I can tell everyone should be seeing the forums just find and be able to use Private Messages...finally!

My install has always been a bit quirky from the get go and it hasn't helped that some stuff has been tweaked to death (mostly modules). I am now just going through and trying to clean things up. Now if I could just get NSN Groups to work on Blocks...but that is an entirely different post!
