I would like the site I'm starting to be a central repository for information (short basic unix scripts).

With that in mind, does anyone know of a way I can set up my download section so that

1. members may submit their download post and script for approval?

2. Then upon approval the script would be made available via the download section.

I guess it would be similar to how content is submitted...

I'm not php guy...so any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.
Question Question

Thanks in advance!
David

You mean copy/paste their script for download approval within a text box like a news submission?

Kind of like some of the web-email clients that allow you to upload attachments.

Does that make sense?

Right now everyone sends me their scripts and I have to ftp them to the site, create a description, credit the author, mark it new, etc.

I'd like to automate that as much as possible.

Grab NSN_Uploads from http://nukescripts.net. It has the functions you want.

Thanks! I got it and installed it with no problem...but I must be doing something wrong because I can't seem to figure out how the files get uploaded to the site using this tool.

I couldn't find NSN_upload, but found NSN_download_tweak.

Maybe I took the wrong one?

Uh, I was so close...

any other ideas?

thank you

it needs to be NSN_Upload. Search the NukeScripts site for Upload and you'll find it.

Also, you have to make sure that hte base upload directory is set to CHMOD 777 for it to work

You have been most helpful! This is exactly what I was looking for. Now all I need to do is figure out how I can integrate the upload with the submit-downloads module so I can let a content manager approve/disallow the posts with limited admin intervention.

This is great. I'm not great with php/html, but heck I'm learning...slowly, but I'm learning.

This is a terrific forum/site/community! Thanks everyone!
