I'm not real familiar with using CVS, other than all the postings I've read on here.
I'm using flexihosts as a provider but don't have shell access, just FTP.
I see people mentioning about using the chron scheduler from their control panel.

what all do I need to do to be able to get my site updated with the latest version of the NC bundle?

How do i know if my host has the cvs software installed (or if you use them, do you know already)?

thanks

Hi'ya typically a linux system does have a cvs client already installed. You can use the shell script I wrote for you to connect into our server at cvs.nukecops.com.

Thanks for the brief info ZX, but can someone give me a little more specifics..

With the shell script you mention, after I download it, what do it do with it..? Upload it to my host, then what?..
I'm not familiar with running shell scripts..

thanks, sorry for not knowing how to do this easily.

Hi'ya a shell script is run from the command prompt. Its like a binary file, but rather, its more like a windows batch file. To execute it just add "./" in front of the file.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but maybe you don't have CVS installed on your powerbook. You probably won't get much help being on OS X, but here are a few links for some CVS Info for X.
http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2003/07/18/version_control_one.html
http://www.macservers.org/article32.html

I've setup nuke on one of my OS X Systems when I was first playing around with it to see what it could do, but I never got into setting up CVS on the mac to see what I could do with it.

Hope these links help some..
You may also want to look at the whole macservers.org site, they are running Nuke also, but I don't recall if they are hosting it on an osX system now or not.
they do have an article about OSCommerce too.
