My opinion?
Any site can use the database of any other site as long as the variables are set in config.php correctly.
Your database can be anywhere you like and can be accessed by any script that has the correct variables to access that database.
I would like to know if I am wrong, so please post your comments here.

i still haven't try this yet, been busy this week and probably wont have time till about 1-2weeks later.
