is it possible to just refresh the code in a block without refreshing the whole page?

Speaking of iframes... where can I find more information. I never did install a google block because of iframes, what they are, how they are used, etc.

it's call the buddy block and is a almost instant messenger block for phpnuke. it refresh every 5 sec to look for new messages

Couple of examples of advanced I-frames would be the Real Time Stats and Shout Block from

The Real Time Stats block uses a refresh rate. Might find something you can use from the code there too?
