Well I've been seeing that GoogleAds around lately, so I decided to give it a go. Hopefully that'll help. I also noticed the fastclick banners a long time ago but didn't want to use my SSN. So I got an EIN and applied for Fastclick. Next step is to see if I get approved, and then give that a trial run. Absolutely no pop-ups or similar. I'll just incorporate them into the above line. That should certainly help. |

What is that?
You already got banner ads which makes alot of us have to scroll left and right on EVERY page.
The google ads looks terrible and throws off your admin people display in upper left.
Friendly advice, get rid of the google ads, don't follow in FB's ad nauseam.
And please upload a 800x600 theme, we don't care if it's not a perfect theme, just so we don't have to scroll left and right all the time. |

Really, they throw off the display? If they do I'll go ahead and remove it, no problems. Its just a test run.
Can you show me a snapshot? Just upload it here and link to it.
Thanks
Also thanks for testing it at 800x600 DT. |

At any rate, those are the only spots I ever plan on advertising on site. I see other phpnuke sites with more banner ads than content.
I figured I'd throw up the google for a test run, because everyone loves google. I think they look neat too, they are text and not image based. |

sorry if i sounded harsh earlier, i visit this site alot and the scrolling left and right is SO annoying.
i uploaded 2 screen shots in a word doc - ncfisubsilversh.doc in the Uploads module.
you can see how the google ads makes other stuff wrap probably not what you intended.
the fisubsilversh doesn't fix the left and right scrolling issue either as you'll see, it works from the change Theme page but not once you're back at the main page. |

Well the Google Ads seem to be working rather well.
@test325, I was busy with the launch of http://bugs.nukecops.com last night. Tonight my plate is relatively less busy, so I'll look at the doc.
Now, as one *final* test to the banners, I've included Fast Click banners on the site. If you are logged in you do not see them, as they are only targetting anonymous users. I'll see how that goes.
Again, both programs I am testing out right now to see if they are worth keeping. I don't want the site to lose its visual appeal.
So, nothing is permanent yet. |

Hmm.. I'm not liking Fast Click. I don't like seeing those banners on this site.
Thoughts folks? |

I suggest sticking with the googleads, its the best thing. Whilst google has searched your website he will find the appropriate add for your site! Just a miracle, and I can tell the revenue is great!
ciao,

please consider not using those flashing banner ads like the flashing dvd ad, it's really annoying. i'm sure most people would agree.
i think it only displays when i'm anonymous but that sure is one way to drive people away too.
also i still have to scroll left and right on every page i visit here in 800x600 mode.
besides those 2 issues, i love this site, keep up the good work |

its not really a mod...more like a google account. go to www.google.com/adsense and apply...they will then crawl your site and find the appropriate ads to put on your site...I have then also on my Xtrememotocross site and i quess they dont have much on motocross cause my adds are about Surveys because i use the surveys from nuke
[EDIT] also look here http://www.nukecops.com/article-552--0-0.html a little extra info on how to set it up with nuke. |

Hi'ya I feel the same way about the flashing banners.. that's why when you log in they disappear. Hopefully those banners will be a short term gap solution. |
