upgrading 6.0 to 6.5 db.php error

I am trying to upgrade from php-nuke 6.0 to 6.5 and I keep getting this error when I try to run upgrade60-65.php

Here is the error I am getting:

<b>Fatal error: Call to undefined function: message_die() in /home/rottedha/public_html/db/db.php on line 88</b>

Line 88 looks like this:

<b>message_die(CRITICAL_ERROR, "Could not connect to the database");</b>

Please help me!

Try running analyzer and connect utilities - this sounds like your user name and db password or your database name is screwed up in the config.php file.
