Add Story bug in 6.9!

When trying to add a story via Admin panel.

Download This File and replace your old admin/modules/stories.php with this one.

I just tried to Add Story on a virgin install of 6.9 and it works perfectly. I also tried it on 3 sites that I've installed this week and it works there too. There's something else amiss.

Today chatserv was helping me on one of my older nuke sites.. and after we finished I had the same news error.. so what i did was.. i used a version of stories.php from a 6.8 version and it worked..

so I wrote chatserv back and told him the problem thinking there was a bug in his update script.. so I told him I had noticed a different file size in 6.9 to 6.8 on the stories.php.. he wrote back and said, no they should be the same.. so I checked and I had two versions of 6.9 .. one from NS and one that came direct from FB.

The one that came from FB was correct and the other was not (could have been my D/L tho).. so if perhaps you D/L the 6.9 from other site that I did.. this could be your trouble as well.. just a guess and simply that..

BTW, A big thanks to chatserv for all his hard work.. Very Happy

It works for me....

I tried a fresh install a few times on my box, the same error appeared every time.

I looked at the code and something looked a bit out of place so i fixed it and it worked perfectly.

A couple of people here also had the same problem.
