Is there any reason why I should leave the CVS (sub)directories and the files in them on my site? I'm not sure if the shell script references them, or if they are required in any way, but I'm not planning on having the shell script cron the updates as I plan on installing a couple of mods.
I read where you can instruct the shell script to ignore certain files, but I will probably just download a snapshot every month or so, and then manually re-mod the relevant files.

Yah if you aren't using the CVS you can remove them. If you will, leave them. The .cvsignore file works, it must reside in the root directory of the person running the update. At any rate, thanks for using our enhancements.

When I found this site, I could tell that the quality of the support beat anything else that I have found for Nuke. Just common sense to use your patches, fixes, and upgrades. You have always answered my questions withing hours, not days, and from what I see, quite a few other Nukers agree with me.
The only addons that I currently use are NSN Banners and NSN Groups, and while I understand their desire to make money, I don't agree they should be doing it to the Nuke community. In fact, I do believe that there are some provisions of the GPL that wouldn't preclude someone re-distributing their pay for modules, since the modules require Nuke to work, and by inference, someone else could use, modify and redistribute their module for free, if they had a mind to. But, back to you guys....
I'd like to see the following features in the regular NC package.
A group module, similar to NSN + or - features
A calendar/event module
A banners/client module
and that's about it. Then I WOULD update with the CVS shell script. You guys are the cutting edge of the Nuke Community and I would like to thank you all, for all of the hours and days that you have put into improving a product that helps us non programmers SO much...

Hi, yes anything that requires PHP-Nuke to function is automatically GNU GPL, regardless of the licensing its author gives it.
PHP-Nuke 7 is supposed to have groups integrated. We'll wait for it to be released to see.
Thanks for the kudos. CS is working on some core upgrades, and I'm working on getting another website launched for bug tracking. After all this, we'll be able to focus on "more important things" for the bundle.
