Also to make it clear, "bbtonuke" is no longer supported at bbtonuke.sourceforge.net. You can read that at Tom's site. Nuke Cops officially owns the port. |

But which file? BBtoNuke 2.05 or NukeCops BBtoNuke 2.05? |

I realize that like i mentioned before we would now have two BBtoNuke 2.0.6 ports, i'll add something to the version number so you can tell them apart, in the meantime the BBtoNuke available at Tom's site is for PHP-Nuke 6.0, the current one for Nuke 6.5 and up is available right here, you'll find a link to it in the homepage and in the addons section of the downloads area |

Ok. One thing is clear: with 6.5 with secfixes 3 and 4 applied I can update to bbtonuke 2.0.5, and then to 2.0.6, both available here at nukecops.
What is still unclear for me: is my phpnuke version 6.7 (it says 6.7 since I applied secfixes 3 and 4)? It says so if I go to statistics or "view source" in the browser. Or do I need to upgrade somehow?
How about 6.8? I don't see upgrade files anywhere. Only a Nuke 6.8 Web Installer...
Thank you for your patience |

A few people have made the mistake of running a updatenuke file included with one of the patches that was only meant for PHP-Nuke 6.7, to correct that run the following through phpMyAdmin:
| Code: |
| UPDATE nuke_config set Version_Num = '6.5'; |

chatserv,
I hate to frustrate you to no end, because without you guys' help I would be in bad shape. But please try to answer this question:
in order for me to use the latest, most secure, most optimized version of phpnuke what do I need to do? (currently using 6.5 with secfixes 3 and 4 applied. The version is currently listed as 6.7 in "Statistics" module).
Thank you and sorry for the ignorance. |

You can keep what you have for now, but do what i mentioned in my previous post as your version is incorrectly listed because you seemingly ran a file that comes with one of the sec-fix patches that was only meant for users of PHP-Nuke 6.7 |

I will see if I can figure outwhat screen I need to be on in phpMyAdmin to run that line.
Thanks again (for replying and for your patience and good will) |

You can run it from any screen with a "Run SQL query/queries on database ..." window. |

BBtoNuke 2.0.5 (and the ones that may follow it) will use phpBB's version to avoid future confusions although i guess if the phpBB group release a 2.0.6 version there might be a bit of confusion with Tom's port, we'll see how we deal with that when and if the time comes.

I realised that was going to be a problem as soon as I started making updates to the initial bbtonuke 2.0.0 release.
I've added a warning to the old version download page as well.
I like the "nc" suffix suggestion, as the coding is done here now, it'll be the easiest way to identify the latest official release from NukeCops. |

chatserv,
Thank you. I didn't expect a reply. I will run that sql query tonight.
Thank you for the assistance overall. My phpnuke site is working well, and after upgrading the phpbb module to (nc)2.0.5 and then to (nc)2.0.6 the couple of problems in the forums dissapeared (thanks to Tom, also, and whoever else contributes to bbtonuke).
I still get "login incorrect" about 33% of the time when I log in as a regular user (Your_Account login) or admin (admin.php). I know for a fact I put the right password and security code in. The second or third time it lets me in... Anyone have any idea why that is? (I ALWAYS delete all cookies and cache in IE 6 before any time I even sign in to my ISP and open a browser window). And I never just close the browser window until I log out of the nuke site, be it reg. user or admin...
Again, I am grateful. I love phpnuke, and it's working pretty smoothly right now, thanks to you nuke cops. |
